Off and on I read 30 or 40 blogs I think. Just wanted to mention a couple that stand out to me.

This is an excellent blog written by a lady trying to come off of her psyche meds. It's taken many years as they're so addictive the taper off has to be extremely slow. To go cold turkey, the chances are too high that it could result in killing the person. Her blog pretty much daily has lots of interesting links, primarily related to psychiatry but also off into philosophy, etc:

This one has had some very interesting posts, some on the same sort of thing but then also going off into pop sociology, etc. Concerning psychiatry the two coincide in a very scary manner. Both really going on about the dishonest drug studies that are done to put more harmful medications out on the market.

Here's one such article that shows if you come down with a mental illness in an underdeveloped nation you're about 4 times as likely to recover than if such occurs in an industrialized nation.

There the conclusion is that it's the medications people are put on here (which ensures they never get better). That would appear to certainly play a role but I wonder about the fact that people living in cities are more likely to become schizophrenic than people living in rural areas.

I do think along with the medications people are put on a big problem is just that this society just isn't very emotionally/mentally healthy. And so people are more likely to develop mental issues in the first place and then also far less likely to ever get the emotional support they would need to ever heal.

That along with immediately getting pills pushed on them if they ever try to go to a doctor about it, which generally just causes addiction issues which compound their problems. (And stops them from ever being in a state of mind where they can really face their problems, etc. So many other issues.)
